Dear Mr. Kelsey

I have collected autographs for over 20 years. When I was in college I started writing to celebrities and asking them what they would tell a class of elementary school students. Over the years I have gotten over 200 letter and signed pictures to my students. I think that by these very busy people taking the time to share their thoughts with students, it shows the power of education. I hope you enjoy my collection

Sister Nirmala

I was reading the newspaper the other day and noticed an article about the new book coming out about Mother Teresa. In the article they mentioned Sister Nirmala, who had taken over for Mother Teresa at the Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta, India. This reminded me of a letter I had gotten from Sister Nirmala when I was student teaching. I had written to her and asked her what she would tell my future class of students. She sent a really cool letter and added a note at the bottom that says, “Dear Martin, Thank you for your letter. I pray that you may become a real good teacher some day.” She also sent with the letter a small medallion that has a quote from Mother Teresa on it. No matter what your religion or beliefs, this is a really cool letter from a lady that has done some amazing work in dedicating her life to helping others.
